Interested in using our product for a broadcast or public performance?
Our CDs are used by amateur and professional entertainers all over the United States and throughout the world. Once our music has been purchased,
the customer has our permission to use our recordings for personal in home use, as accompaniment music for entertaining and performing for profit or nonprofit,
in public venues or private, for use as an aid in music and vocal instruction, and for making demo-CDs which are distributed at no charge.
Providing quality accompaniment music to entertainers and musicians for the above uses is what we are all about. Our customers need not pay us
any additional fees for the above types of uses. However there are some uses for which we charge an additional fee. Additionally, our permission for you
to use our recordings does not necessarily mean you have permission from the original copyright owners for your particular use or project.
We at ProSound Music have obtained proper licensing from the authors and original copyright owners of the songs to record our original renditions, to duplicate
the recordings and resell them to the public for personal home use.
Master Recording Licenses - ProSound Music
Please note that purchase of our recordings does not include our permission to record, duplicate, or distribute our recordings; an exception being the recording
of a demo-CD in which the customer's voice is recorded over our accompaniment music and the demo CD is distributed free of charge in order to promote the
customer. Any other uses in which the customer, or an agent acting for the customer, records, duplicates, or sells our recordings in any way requires a Master
Use License from ProSound Music.
Public Performance Licenses - Copyright Owners
While ProSound Music allows the public performance of our recordings without further fee, copyright law requires a license to perform copyrighted music in
public venues. Generally, licenses are secured by and are the responsibility of the establishment where the performance takes place.
For more information about licensing for public performances, contact ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers) www.ascap.com, or
BMI (Broadcast Music Inc) www.bmi.com.
Mechanical, Synchronization And Other Licenses - Copyright Owners
Sales and distribution of any product containing copyrighted music without obtaining proper licensing from the original copyright owners is strictly prohibited.
Any permission given by ProSound Music to use its recordings does not in any way exempt anyone from paying royalties directly to the authors and copyright
owners of the songs, under current copyright law. Separate permission from the original copyright holders may be required for any use other than personal
home use of our recordings.
Our master recordings are available for use in commercial projects for a reasonable fee. We ask that you please submit a written request giving information about your project and what tracks you wish to use. In addition, you should contact
the authors and publishers (owners of the copyright) of the songs for any other licenses you may need for your project. We can give you their contact
information if needed.
